The fosshost.org project is managed and coordinated by our founding owner, and a group of volunteers. We provide a number of hosting services to assist projects, irrespective of how established they are. We make our service accessible and available to all eligible and active projects.
We offer a range of professional hosting services. We do not host server farms in cupboards under stairs or garages. Our open source infrastructure is housed in professional data centers, globally and is maintained by our volunteers and hosting partners who kindly donate infrastructure to the project.
The project indirectly assists other projects who offer hosting services by sharing our infrastructure and resources and automation technology.
All active open source projects within the foss community are eligible for our services, namely our semi-dedicated virtual private server. This comes with the following specification, however we can provide specifications on par with dedicated hardware.
- 4 vCPU
- 4GB Memory
- 200GB Storage
- IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity
- Full Remote SSH Access
We support most operating systems including CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, ArchLinux, Fedora and FreeBSD. We even have a bring-your-own-operating-system option available on request.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss alternative hosting services such as our domain registration service, mirrors or storage as we are flexible and can accommodate most requests.
